The Permanent Working Party of Research Ethics Committees in Germany (AK-EK) has published an information sheet on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into effect on 25 May 2018. The requirements for all medical research projects involving the processing of personal data have now changed accordingly.
